This Privacy Policy describes how Lingo7 ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Lingo7 mobile application (the "App") and the website lingoseven.com (the "Website"), together the "Services". By using the Services you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

The App does not require registration. We may collect the following information:

Device and technical information: a random installation identifier generated when the App is installed, device type, operating system version, App version, language settings, and similar technical data.
Contact information: an email address, if you choose to enter it in the App, for example to link your subscription and your saved words to your devices or to contact us.
Language vote: the email address you enter in the language vote form on the Website, together with the language you asked for, the page you sent it from, and a one-way hash of your IP address that we use only to limit abuse of the form. We store the email only to tell you when that language launches in the App, and we delete it on request sent to support@lingoseven.com.
Usage data: how you use the App, such as books opened, words saved, learning progress, features used, and session duration.
Purchase information: subscription status and transaction details provided to us by the platform through which you made a purchase. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Content you add: books, files, and text you import into the App, words and notes you save, and text you enter while using App features. We process this content to provide the features you request.
Communications: information you provide when you contact us by email.
Website data: cookies and similar technologies described in Section 6.

2. How We Use Information

The collected information is used to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Services
Provide translations, explanations, audio, exercises, and other features you request
Save your progress and purchases and sync them across your devices
Process purchases and manage subscriptions
Personalize your learning experience
Analyze usage to improve and develop the Services
Provide customer support and respond to your requests
Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:

With service providers that process it on our behalf to operate the Services, such as hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting, payment processing, and providers of features of the App. These providers may access information only to perform services for us.
With app stores and payment platforms to process purchases and subscriptions.
When required by law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request.
To protect the rights, property, or safety of Lingo7, our users, or the public, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.

4. Data Storage and Security

Information is stored on servers operated by our hosting providers, which may be located in countries other than your own. By using the Services you consent to the transfer of your information to such countries. We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business and legal purposes.

Saved words. When you confirm your email address in the App, we store a copy of your saved words on our servers, so that you can restore them on another device, or after reinstalling the App, by confirming the same email address there. For each word the copy contains the word and its language, the translations you added or chose, the name of its group, your learning progress, and the book and sentence the word came from. Photos you attach to words are not uploaded. If you have not confirmed an email address, none of this is stored on our servers. We delete the copy automatically 12 months after its last synchronization. You can delete it at any time with "Delete words from server" in your profile in the App, or by sending a request as described in Section 5. Clearing the email address in your profile stops synchronization but does not delete the copy. Deleting the copy does not remove the words from your devices.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, to receive a copy of your data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Deleting your data. To delete your data, send a request to support@lingoseven.com. Include the email address you entered in the App, if any, so that we can find your records. We will delete your data within 3 business days of receiving your request. Deleting the App from your device removes the data stored locally on that device. It does not delete the copy of your saved words described in Section 4.

We may keep certain information after deletion where required by law or for legitimate purposes such as accounting, fraud prevention, or resolving disputes. To exercise any other right, contact us at the address in Section 9.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies:

Strictly necessary: your cookie choice and the partner dashboard sign-in, kept in your browser storage. They do not require consent.
Analytics and advertising: Yandex Metrica, Google Analytics, and Google Ads, used to understand how the Website is used and to measure advertising campaigns.

If you visit the Website from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of the Website. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

The App uses analytics and crash reporting tools to collect usage statistics and stability data that help us improve the App.

7. Children

The Services are not intended for children under the age of 13, or under a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Where required by law, we will notify you of significant changes through the App or the Website. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
