Welcome to Lingo7. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Lingo7 mobile application (the "App") and the website lingoseven.com (the "Website"), together the "Services", provided by Lingo7 ("we", "us", or "our"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the Services. If you are under 18, you may use the Services only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Service Description

Lingo7 is an application for learning foreign languages through reading. Depending on your subscription and platform, the Services may include:

Texts in various languages with parallel translation
The ability to import and read your own books and texts
Vocabulary tools, exercises, and audio
Learning progress tracking and personalized recommendations

We may add, change, limit, or discontinue any feature of the Services at any time without liability to you.

3. Your Account and Devices

The App does not require registration. Your progress and purchases are linked to your device and, if you enter one, to your email address. You agree to:

Provide accurate information when you enter it
Keep your devices and email account secure
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your purchases or data
Be responsible for all activity that occurs on your devices through the App

4. Subscriptions and Payment

Some features of the Services are available only with a paid subscription:

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Payment is charged through the platform and payment method you used when purchasing.
For purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, subscription management, cancellation, and refunds are handled through your store account under that store's policies.
Except where required by applicable law or the applicable store policy, payments are non-refundable, including for unused periods.
Prices may change. A price change applies to the next billing period, and we will inform you before it takes effect as required by the applicable platform.
Free trials and promotional offers may be subject to additional conditions and may be withdrawn at any time.

5. Your Content and Responsibility

The App allows you to import, open, and use your own books, files, and texts and to add words, notes, and other material ("Your Content").

You are solely responsible for all content that you open, import, upload, or otherwise use in the App, including its legality, accuracy, and your right to use it.
You represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to use Your Content in the App, and that its use does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party and does not violate any law.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, process, translate, convert, and otherwise use Your Content solely to provide the features of the Services to you.
We do not review or monitor Your Content and assume no responsibility or liability for it. We may remove any content or restrict access to it at our discretion, including in response to a notice of alleged infringement.

6. Intellectual Property

The Services, including the software, design, logos, icons, and all content provided by us, are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws and belong to Lingo7 or our licensors. Texts provided by us may include works in the public domain and licensed materials. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your own non-commercial language learning. You may not:

Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or rent any part of the Services or their content
Use the Services or their content for commercial purposes
Extract content in bulk or by automated means, or use it to build a competing product or to train models
Decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to obtain the source code of the App
Circumvent subscription, licensing, or security measures

7. Code of Conduct

When using the Services, you may not:

Violate any law or the rights of third parties
Transmit viruses or malicious code
Attempt unauthorized access to the Services, their systems, or other users' data
Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Services
Use the Services for spam, fraud, or any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose

8. Automatically Generated Content

Translations, explanations, definitions, audio, exercises, and other materials in the Services may be generated or processed automatically. They may contain errors or inaccuracies, are provided for educational purposes only, and do not constitute professional advice of any kind. You use them at your own discretion.

9. Third-Party Services

The Services may contain links to, or rely on, third-party websites, app stores, and services. We do not control and are not responsible for them, their content, or their terms and policies.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee:

Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the Services
Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content
That the Services will meet your requirements or achieve any particular learning result

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lingo7 and its owners, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Services or any content used in the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ten US dollars if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lingo7 and its owners, employees, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the Services, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms, any law, or any third-party right.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice and without refund, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law. You may stop using the Services at any time by deleting the App from your device. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and we will notify you of significant changes through the App or the Website. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us first and attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

16. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without restriction. For iOS users, Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
